Palghar: 741 Complaints Filed At 'Janata Darbar'; Minister Defends Resort Owners

Palghar, Maharashtra:  A "janata darbar" held by Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik in Palghar district on Thursday saw 741 complaints submitted by local citizens. Minister Naik emphasized the importance of officials viewing citizen services as a responsibility, not a favor, and assured that all complaints would be addressed within 15 days. Out of the total complaints, 36 were resolved immediately.

During the session, Naik also expressed concerns about the scrutiny faced by resort owners, criticizing the administration's treatment of them. He stressed, "Resort owners are not criminals," adding that tourism should be promoted as a means to create employment. He called for better coordination between the administration and resort owners, along with district officials such as the collector, sub-divisional officers, and tehsildars, to resolve issues amicably.

Additionally, Naik touched on ongoing development projects in Palghar, including the Vadhavan Port, and reiterated his vision of the district becoming the "fourth Mumbai."

The janata darbar continues to serve as a direct platform for citizens to voice their concerns, with Naik assuring that the government is committed to addressing their issues efficiently.
