Navi Mumbai: Former Navi Mumbai police officer Dr. Vishal Mane has been appointed as the Maharashtra State Working President of the Speaker Training Department of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

The appointment letter was handed to Dr. Mane at a party event held at the Women’s Development Board, Mumbai, in the presence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP National President Ajit Pawar and State President Sunil Tatkare.

Speaking after his appointment, Dr. Mane said, “Administrative service gave me a foundation to understand grassroots issues. Now, through political responsibility, I intend to resolve them more effectively under the leadership of Deputy CM Ajit Pawar.”

Dr. Mane, a doctor and lawyer by qualification, had served in the police force for over a decade before resigning in 2024 to contest the Maharashtra Assembly elections from Belapur constituency as an independent candidate.

He further announced plans to strengthen the NCP’s presence across Navi Mumbai and Maharashtra by launching structured public outreach and training programs. His efforts, he said, would focus on preparing the party for upcoming local body elections and the 2029 state assembly polls, with a mission to take NCP to the forefront.

Beyond his official duties, he has worked as a motivational speaker, author, cyber law and security expert, and active social worker. The former officer transitioned from the police department to politics, driven by the desire to work for people through a broader platform.
