Mumbai/Gadchiroli: After Naxals launched the explosive attacks and torched vehicles in Gadchiroli killing 15 policemen and their driver on Wednesday, the state government has said Naxals have threatened to disallow construction of roads, bridges and infrastructure.
In northern Gadchiroli, Naxals have displayed banners which proclaim,’Don’t build roads and bridges’. These banners also condemn the killings of 40 Naxals in April 2018 in Kasnasur as well as that of Ramko Naroti, DVC comrade, on April 27.
The martyred policemen were travelling in a private vehicle on Maharashtra day. This has angered people across the state. These explosions toook place six kilometres away from Jambhoorkheda. Naxals are said to have known about the convoy passing through the area.
