The youth wing of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) in Navi Mumbai has demanded to re-examine all documents and fitness of school buses to prevent any untoward incidents. Since transport services were stopped during two years of the pandemic, the outfit claims that it is necessary to re-examine the fitness and documents of all buses.
Sandesh Dongre, president of the party’s youth wing of Navi Mumbai has written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner (Education) of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), Jaideep Pawar and RTO's Assistant Sub-Regional Transport Officer Surendra Nikam. He demanded the re-examination of school buses in Navi Mumbai areas and to take action against buses that violate government rules.
“During Covid, these school buses were parked for almost two years. So first of all, it is very important to check the fitness of these school buses,” said Dongre.
