Navi Mumbai: The water supply in the City and Industrial Area Development Corporation (CIDCO) administered area was cut off on Saturday evening after a pipeline was damaged at Vahal village near Gavan Phata.
While CIDCO's engineering department is working on war-footing to resolve the issue on priority, the estimated time to complete the work is around 30 hours.
Due to pipeline damage, there has been no water supply in Dronagiri, Ulwe, Kharghar and adjoining villages en route of the pipeline.

Meanwhile, CIDCO has requested Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) to provide an additional 50 MLD of water to meet the demand for the day.
“CIDCO is actively working towards restoring supply and we request citizens' cooperation,” said a statement issued by the CIDCO.
In a tweet, CIDCO stated that an FIR has been filed against GAIL for causing damage to the pipeline.
