Navi Mumbai: NMMC to inoculate 29,646 against COVID during July, at 225 schools

Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has prepared a schedule to vaccinate students during July month.

As per the plan, around 29,646 children will be administered with Covid vaccination during this month across 225 schools in the city. At present, schools have started and students are coming regularly.

The first and second doses of Corbevax vaccine will be given to children between the ages of 12 and 14 and the first and second doses of Covaxin vaccine will be given to children between the ages of 15 and 18.

During June, every house knockout campaign 2 was carried out and a total of 3318 citizens were administered with Covid vaccine.

Among them, 1163 citizens above 18 years of age were given the second dose of the vaccine, 190 children between the ages of 12 and 18 were given the first dose of the vaccine and 433 children were administered the second dose of Covid vaccine.

Similarly, 1532 health workers, frontline Covid warriors and citizens above 60 years of age were given precautionary doses.

So far, a total of 13,76,117 citizens have taken the first dose, and 12,31,315 citizens have taken the second dose. Similarly, 93,104 citizens have taken the third, or the precautionary dose.
