Navi Mumbai: NMMC sees 198 new COVID-19 cases on June 27

After a slight drop in new cases of COVID-19 under the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) area, the civic body saw a total of 198 new cases on June 27.

This also pushed the number of active cases to 1,904. For the last few days, there has been a continuous rise in active cases as more than 150 new cases are reported in the city.

The number of active cases is increasing rapidly per day. So far in June, more than 6000 new cases have been reported. At the beginning of May, the number of active cases was around 50. On June 26, a total of 262 patients got discharged.

At present, 1,523 people are in home isolation and 7 patients are getting treatment at Covid care centre at Cidco Exhibition centre in Vashi.

Last week, two deaths were reported taking the total number of deaths to 2,051 due to COVID-19.
