Administration took note of the grievance and got the issue resolved. “There was some technical issue faced with the code and consumers were repeatedly complaining of not being able to scan the code properly. The issue was solved by the IT team and now the code is functioning smoothly,” said an official.

With the issue having been solved, water bills can now be paid using the QR code from December 4 onwards. Consumers are required to scan the QR code using the google lens following which they will be taken to link for making the due payments.

“The process remains the same wherein consumers following the scan will be given multiple options to make the payments. The QR code is one more convenient way of making payments from the convenience of one’s home,” adds the officer.
