Navi Mumbai: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) held a grand celebration at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk in Vashi after the state government withdrew both controversial government resolutions enforcing the mandatory use of Hindi.

The decision is being hailed as a major victory for the Marathi language and identity. Following widespread opposition and the threat of mass protests, the state government rolled back its orders, reportedly due to mounting pressure. The party declared the move a triumph of Marathi unity and self-respect.

MNS workers and supporters marked the occasion with bursting of firecrackers, dhol-tasha performances, and the distribution of traditional sweets. Women participated enthusiastically, dancing and performing traditional phugdi, while party leaders addressed the crowd amid chants of "Victory to Marathi Language" and "Even the Throne of Delhi Bows to Maharashtra."

“This is not just a rollback of a policy—it is a symbolic bow to the will of Marathi-speaking people,” said MNS spokesperson and Navi Mumbai city president Gajanan Kale, addressing the crowd. “The arrogant heads have bowed before the feet of our mother tongue, Marathi.”

The event was attended by a large number of MNS office-bearers and supporters, MNS leaders declared that the celebration was not just about the withdrawal of a government order, but about reinforcing pride in Marathi language, culture, and identity. The party reiterated its commitment to continue opposing any attempt to dilute regional linguistic rights.
