In a disturbing case of alleged black magic and abuse, a 30-year-old man from Navi Mumbai has been booked for allegedly forcing his wife and mother-in-law to perform nude rituals to help his brother-in-law get married. The accused also allegedly circulated explicit images of the women, police said on Saturday.

The case came to light when the wife approached Vashi police station and filed a complaint on July 3. Police officials confirmed that no arrest has been made so far, and investigations are ongoing.

According to officials, the shocking incidents took place between April and July this year at the accused’s residence in Navi Mumbai. He originally hails from Devria, Uttar Pradesh.

The FIR states that on April 15, the accused allegedly coerced his wife and mother-in-law to perform black magic rituals without clothes, claiming it would ensure his brother-in-law’s marriage. He allegedly clicked nude pictures of both women during the rituals.

Shockingly, he later instructed his wife to travel to Ajmer, carrying the explicit photos with her. Once she reached Ajmer, the accused allegedly circulated these images by posting them on the WhatsApp accounts of her father and brother, further humiliating the victim.

Police have booked the accused under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Section 351(2) (criminal intimidation) and Section 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace). He has also been charged under relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act and the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013.

Authorities said they are conducting further inquiries and will take appropriate action based on the findings.
