Scaling the more than 10,000 steps of Gujarat’s famous Girnar mountain is considered a demanding feat. Four children from Diwale Koliwada, aged between seven and 11, however, completed the arduous climb in just four hours, earning praise for their determination and endurance.
Children Complete 3,666-Foot Girnar Ascent With Remarkable Determination
Ayush Koli (11), Shri Koli (10), Griva Bose (9) and Divisha Vishal Koli (7) climbed the 3,666-foot-high Girnar mountain while chanting “Avadhoot Chintan Shri Gurudev Datt.” Despite the steep climb, physical exhaustion and the challenging terrain, the children remained determined and completed the ascent.
The Girnar route passes through hilly terrain, with some stretches running through dense forest, requiring trekkers to exercise considerable caution.
Ekvira Mitra Mandal Organises Five-Day Adventure And Spiritual Trip
The five-day religious and adventure trip was organised by the Ekvira Mitra Mandal of Diwale Koliwada. The objective was to encourage children from a young age to develop determination, confidence, physical fitness and the ability to face challenges.
During the five-day trip, the children also visited several religious destinations in Gujarat, including Bet Dwarka, Dwarka, Someshwar, Gangeshwar and Nageshwar, besides Girnar in Junagadh. The journey gave them an opportunity to experience spirituality, nature and adventure.
