Navi Mumbai: Attempt to break open ATM in Nerul fails, thief leaves empty-handed

Navi Mumbai: The Nerul police have registered a case against an unidentified person after the person failed to break open an ATM in Nerul last week.

The accused allegedly tried to break open the ATM of Punjab National Bank but he fled after failing to do so. However, his act was recorded on the CCTV cameras of the ATM kiosk.

According to police, last week on Wednesday around 3.30 am, a person entered the bank ATM located at sector 20 in Nerul and tried to break in. However, he failed to do so and he left empty-handed.

However, the act was recorded in CCTV footage and the bank’s security company noticed the act and accordingly informed the bank manager. The manager visited the ATM and found the lock was broken but the money was safe. He later registered a complaint at the Nerul police station.
