A 7 year old from Navi Mumbai created portraits of 3 sports icons with the help of cubes. Studying in standard 2 and resident of Nerul, Daksh Shrikant Dhoot passion for mosaic art was on display at the Pixel Challenge 5.0 wherein he along with 150 students worked in unison to create a record under the guidance of Mrs.Leena Savla.
Using 2,014 cubes, Daksh and the team of students meticulously crafted portraits of three Indian sports icons—Virat Kohli, Gukesh, and Manu Bhaker—an achievement officially recognized by the OMG Book of Records. The feat was achieved in a matter of 4 hours.

The work will be featured in the 2024-2025 edition of the record book.
“The artwork was a celebration of India's sporting spirit. By choosing to depict Virat Kohli, one of the world’s greatest cricketers; Gukesh, a rising star in Indian chess; and Manu Bhaker, an accomplished shooter, Daksh and his team honoured the grit, perseverance, and excellence that define India’s sports culture. The tribute was particularly fitting as it was unveiled on the occasion of Republic Day, a time when the nation comes together to celebrate its achievements and unity,” said the mother Deepa Dhoot.
The record-breaking feat was accomplished at Smaash Utopia City, Lower Parel, during Pixel Challenge 5.0, an event organized by the Junior Cube Association in collaboration with Smaash Utopia City
“All the children worked as a group wherein the process of assembling the cubes was divided. Students showed team spirit to make the life size image of the sportspersons. . Events like Pixel Challenge 5.0 provide young talents with a platform to explore, innovate, and push boundaries.
