Mumbaikars woke up to light rain on Monday for second consecutive day. Several parts of Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai witnessed light showers in the morning.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on its website has predicted a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of light rain and drizzle for next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, KS Hosalikar, head SID, Climate Research & Services, IMD Pune, said that in last 24 hours, Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and Palghar areas received light rain showers. He also said that these areas will witness a cloudy sky with light rain showers today.
Meanwhile, India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Santacruz observatory on Monday recorded the maximum temperature at 33.9 degrees Celsius, while the Colaba observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 33.2 degrees Celsius. The Santacruz observatory in the western suburbs recorded a minimum temperature of 27.2 degrees Celsius, while the Colaba observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius.
