Radhakrishnan Rajaram Narwekar, ex-President of the Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh, and former editor of the Sakal, Mumbai, passed away this morning.

Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari has expressed grief over the demise of veteran journalist. In a condolence message, the Governor said, “I was saddened to know about the demise of senior journalist, former Editor of Sakal and former President of Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh Shri Radhakrishna Narvekar. During his long journalistic career, Shri Narvekar enlightened readers on diverse issues and mentored several generations of journalists. Shri Narvekar was a witness to all major events in the State right from its inception. In his demise, Maharashtra has lost an enlightened journalist and a kind-hearted human being.”

Former union minister Suresh Prabhu also consoled his demise.
