Mumbai: The Sakinaka police booked a woman and an unidentified man for allegedly giving a false tip-off about a drug party at a 27-year-old Andheri East resident’s house and trespassing into the premises after his marriage to the woman was called off.

According to the FIR, the complainant met Dkshayani, a medical student from Telangana, through social media and they later entered a relationship. The couple got engaged in Delhi in August 2024 with their families’ consent. The complainant alleged that during their relationship, Dkshayani would hit her head against a wall, cut her wrist and threaten suicide when he refused her demands.
In June 2026, the marriage was called off with both families’ consent after disputes continued. On August 13, when the complainant’s friends were at his house, Dkshayani allegedly sent an unidentified man there around 10pm. The man allegedly entered the premises and peeked inside, telling the complainant that Dkshayani had sent him.
Dkshayani later allegedly called the police control room, claiming a drug party was underway at the residence. Police searched the house but found no drugs or evidence of a party.
The police said their investigation found that Dkshayani had allegedly provided false information. Based on the complainant’s complaint, Sakinaka police registered an FIR last week against her and the unidentified man under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
