Mumbai: A tragic road accident occurred in Mumbai’s Mazgaon area, where a speeding trailer fatally ran over a 64-year-old scooter rider. The deceased has been identified as Imtiaz Musa Shikalgaar, a resident of the area.

Patrolling Cops Alerted by Biker, Victim Declared Dead at KEM Hospital

According to Sewree Police, the incident took place around 5:45 PM on July 21 near the Mazgaon Dock. A patrolling police team was alerted by a biker about a serious road accident.

Upon reaching the spot, they found Shikalgaar critically injured, wedged between the two rear wheels of a trailer. He was immediately rushed to KEM Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Preliminary Probe Reveals Scooter Was Hit From Behind

Preliminary investigation revealed that Shikalgaar was riding his scooter toward Orange Gate when a speeding trailer hit him from behind. The impact was so forceful that he fell and came under the wheels of the vehicle.

Trailer Driver Booked for Negligent Driving

The trailer driver, identified as Mohammad Yunus Ahmad Khan (34), has been booked under relevant sections for negligent driving. Further investigation is underway.
