Mumbai: RAK Marg police reunites three children with their families who lost their way home

RAK Marg police officials reunited three children with their parents on Wednesday. The three who had visited a shop to get chocolate forgot their way back home and were found outside Wadala railway station.

On July 13, at 7pm the three kids were found roaming below the Wadala monorail bridge outside Wadala Railway station confused and crying as they had lost their way. "Mohammed Nadeem Ansar Shaikh, a local, found them crying. Shaikh took the kids to nearby police beat chowky as he could not find any proper address or details of their parents from them. The kids were brought to RAK Marg police station," said a police officer from RAK marg police station.

The RAK Marg police circulated the kids' pictures among locals and social networking sites to trace their parents. The pictures and information were also shared to all police stations of Mumbai police. “With no hope to find their parents, the kids were sent to Mankhurd children's home for safety," said the police officer.

On Wednesday, their parents approached the RAK Marg police. "We found that the parent's work at a construction site near five gardens, and stayed nearby. The parents were busy at work, when the kids went to get chocolate from a nearby shop and lost their way. The parents approached us and after verification we will hand over the kids to them," said Kumud Kadam, senior police inspector, RAK marg police station.
