Mumbai: Heavy rains, thunderstorms, and lightning were seen in Mumbai and nearby areas on Saturday, June 7 around 2.13 PM. The rain also affected Navi Mumbai and Thane. Visuals showed heavy downpour and strong winds in Mumbai during the day.

Rain was also reported in other parts of South Mumbai, including the Parel area. The Regional Meteorological Center stated in a post on X, shared around 12:30 PM, that the local forecast for Mumbai city and its suburbs over the next 24 hours indicates a possibility of moderate rain and thunderstorms, with cloudy skies expected at isolated locations.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 34°C and 25°C, respectively. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, wind gusts reaching 40–50 kmph, and heavy rainfall are expected to occur at isolated places in the Madhya Maharashtra districts.
