Mumbai: Intense rainfall is expected across the state today, prompting the Meteorological Department to issue warnings for 17 districts. In the last three days, different regions have dealt with steady rain, where certain areas have encountered heavy showers, and others are seeing light to moderate precipitation. The rainfall intensity is anticipated to decrease on July 27.

As of 9 am, Mumbai is experiencing light rain and a temperature of 29°C. There’s a 25% chance of precipitation and high humidity at 84%. Wind speed is 35 km/h. Daily temperatures range from 27°C to 29°C, remaining steady. Light rain is expected for the week, keeping temperatures around 28°C to 29°C. The weather trend suggests a humid atmosphere and continuous light rain typical for this coastal city throughout the week.

The prediction suggests possible heavy rainfall in certain parts of Mumbai and multiple districts, such as Palghar, Thane, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg, all of which are under a yellow alert. Raigad district is under an orange alert due to a serious risk of heavy to very heavy rainfall. Light to moderate rain is expected in Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, and Solapur, with heavy rainfall likely in the Ghats of Pune and Satara, prompting an orange alert, whereas a yellow alert is active for the Ghats of Kolhapur.

In Marathwada, light to moderate rainfall and breezy winds are predicted for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, and Parbhani, while only light rain is anticipated in Beed, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur, and Dharashiv. North Maharashtra is expected to experience light to moderate rainfall in Dhule, Nandurbar, Nashik, Jalgaon, and Ahilyanagar, while heavy rain warnings have been issued for the Ghats in Nashik. Vidarbha regions such as Akola, Amravati, and Buldhana have been cautioned about intense rainfall, gusty winds, and thunderstorms, along with identical warnings for Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha, Washim, and Yavatmal.
