The 40 year-old female teacher of Bombay Scottish High School, Mahim, Bipasha Kumar, who has been accused of sexually assaulting a male student will undergo a psychological evaluation test. She was arrested by the Dadar police on Saturday following a complaint lodged by the student's shocked parents.
It is alleged that Bipasha Kumar, who is a mother of twins, was attracted to the student and persuaded him to accompany him to five star hotels and an isolated spot where she allegedly served liquor and had sex with him. Apparently these acts were committed over the past one year. Sources in the school said Bipasha Kumar, who was residing in the neighbourhood of the school and taught English, had resigned last April. Sources close to the school said they had no inkling of her alleged activities. ``We have a zero tolerance policy towards such conduct," a source added.
After her arrest, Bipasha Kumar was remanded to police custody by a POCSO till Wednesday. The police sought an extra day's custody so that they could do psychological profile of the teacher and hence the court extended the police custody by a day.
It is alleged that she first took the student in her car to an isolated spot, asked him to undress and had sex. She then used to take him to different five star hotels and forcibly have sex with him after serving liquor over the past one year. The boy's parents got alarmed when they noticed distinct changes in his behaviour. Since he was in his final year, they decided to wait. But since there was no sign of his depression reducing, they complained to the police.

The police said so far parents of other students have not approached them with complaints against Bipasha Kumar. The police are also questioning another woman who was on friendly terms with the student victim.
The school principal Sunita George said the school was fully cooperating with the investigation. She pointed out that none of the alleged offences had taken place in the school premises.
Meanwhile, police are searching for a woman who allegedly helped the teacher befriend the victim.
