Mumbai: A 41-year-old Mumbai Police constable deployed on security duty outside actor Salman Khan's residence died after suffering a suspected heart attack on Friday evening.
Deceased Identified As Ganesh Raite
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Raite, who was posted with LA-4 of the Mumbai Police. He was on guard duty outside Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, where Salman Khan resides, when he complained of uneasiness at around 6 pm.
Police personnel immediately rushed him to the emergency ward of Bhabha Hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Post-Mortem To Confirm Exact Cause Of Death
According to police officials, Raite is suspected to have suffered a heart attack while on duty. His body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the medical report.
Raite had earlier served in the Indian Army before joining the Mumbai Police. His sudden demise has left his colleagues shocked and grieving. Further formalities are being carried out by the police.
