First Session Held on August 5 with Immediate Action

The first session of this public forum was held on August 5, 2025, during which Bharti personally heard several complaints and ensured on-the-spot redressal in many cases.

Walk-In Format, No Prior Appointment Needed

Mumbai Police, in an official announcement, clarified that no prior appointment or permission is needed to attend the Janata Darbar. Citizens can walk in freely every Tuesday and present their concerns directly to the Police Commissioner.

Initiative Aims to Boost Public-Police Trust

This move is being seen as a unique and proactive step by Bharti, who assumed charge as the Commissioner of Police on May 1, 2025. The initiative aims to build greater trust and transparency between the public and the police force.
