Mumbai: Nigerian national arrested for possessing Rs 1L drugs in Juhu

A Nigerian national was arrested by the anti-terrorism squad of the Juhu police for possessing 14gm of cocaine valued at Rs 1.12 lakh. The accused has been identified as Okoro John Orgy (37).

The police had received a tip-off that the accused was a drug dealer. On July 5, a team laid a trap near Juhu gymkhana. When they saw Orgy moving suspiciously, the police intercepted him, after which they found the drugs.

The accused has been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act. The cops are investigating the source of the contraband.

Orgy has a past criminal record and similar cases have been lodged against him at Azad Maidan and Bandra police stations.

The police are also trying to find out his client base.
