Mumbai News: Two Arrested For Blackmailing CA, Abetting Suicide In Vakola

Vakola police arrested two suspects, Rahul Parwani (26) and Sheba Qureshi (22), in the suicide case of 32-year-old chartered accountant Raj More, to be presented in Bandra court tomorrow.

Mumbai: The Vakola police on Tuesday arrested both accused in the allegedly suicide case of 32-year-old chartered accountant Raj More. The accused have been identified as Rahul Parwani, 26, and Sheba Qureshi, 22. The police will produce the accused in the Bandra court tomorrow.

According to the police, Parwani was a former employee of an aviation company and is currently working in the investment sector. The other accused, Sheba, is a model.

The accused allegedly blackmailed Raj More by threatening to make videos of an alleged homosexual relationship with Parwani go viral. They extorted more than Rs 3 crore from him and abetted him to commit suicide. The accused threatened to make the video public and repeatedly extorted money from him.

Fed up with the harassment, Raj died by suicide. The Vakola police have registered a case against Rahul Parwani and Sheba Qureshi under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and are investigating the case after arresting them.
