Mumbai: A major fire broke out early Wednesday in a cluster of illegal huts situated on an open plot at Mira Road, reportedly triggered by a short circuit. The incident led to the explosion of two gas cylinders, intensifying the flames and causing panic among local residents.

Firefighters from the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) acted swiftly and managed to bring the blaze under control after a couple of hours. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.

Visuals of the fire have surfaced online, showing thick black smoke billowing from the scene, engulfing the surrounding area. The dramatic footage captured large plumes rising into the sky, creating a sense of urgency and fear among residents.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported so far, and emergency responders were able to reach the site promptly to control the situation.
