Mumbai News: Crime Branch Nabs Suspect with 2 Pistols, 11 Live Cartridges

Mumbai: The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested a person with two pistols and 11 live cartridges. The accused was presented in court where the judge sent him to police custody until Wednesday.

Inspector Daya Nayak, in charge of Unit 9 of the Crime Branch, received information that a person carrying weapons was coming near the APCO Construction Site Gate at Rang Sharda, Bandra.

Based on the information received by the Crime Branch, Amit Pradeep Kinake (27) was arrested after a trap was set there. Upon searching him, one stainless steel locally made pistol, one iron locally made pistol, and 11 live cartridges were found on him.

An officer stated that the arrested accused is a resident of Nagpur, and an investigation is underway to determine whether he has committed any previous crimes. The authorities are also trying to find out who was supposed to provide him with the weapons.
