Mumbai, April 4, 2025: As part of a state-wide push for responsive governance, a Janata Darbar was held at MHADA headquarters in Bandra, where citizens had their grievances heard and resolved in real time. The initiative was led by MHADA Vice President and CEO Sanjeev Jaiswal, who reviewed 17 cases directly, including five formal applications, and issued immediate instructions for resolution.

Moving away from the conventional chamber-based hearing, Jaiswal visited departments across MHADA office interacting with citizens where footfall was highest. He assessed grievance resolution on the ground, took direct feedback, and ensured that departmental heads were made accountable for prompt redressal.

Among the key outcomes, several cases were resolved on the spot, while others were escalated with timelines. Janata Darbar is part of the Maharashtra Government’s 100-day action plan, initiated under the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and guided by  Deputy Chief Minister and Housing Minister Eknath Shinde. The plan includes focused timelines for grievance redressal across departments, and MHADA has incorporated this into its grievance resolution mechanism.
