N. Lakhani, an activist, has highlighted several issues which are plaguing Breach candy residents and sought the urgent attention of the authorities.

He said a long- pending demand of the residents was for a Nepeansea Road exit of the coastal road along with with the current Breach Candy exit to ease the unbearable traffic load. He said this has been promised in the election manifestos, but not fulfilled. Traffic woes were on the rise with every passing day as a result.

The Amarsons coastal road junction has become a transit hub for all VIP  cavalcades. Whenever a VIP cavalcade passes the hub it adds to the traffic congestion.  He said the residents were promised a garden three times the size of Tata Garden  to compensate for the devastated Tata Garden. However, there is no sign of any such garden. Only a boundry wall has been erected on back side of Tata Garden .

Lakhani  said the promise of a proper landscape ,walking tracks, children play area, nana- nani park looks like a distant dream.

A segregated parking plan spread across Breach candy catering to residents, visitors and tourists is required urgently. He said the opening of a new liquor shop has made local women very uncomfortable specially at night. They have already complained the the local police.

The pending work on the coastal road needs to be completed expeditiously since the dust settles in all the house, making breathing difficult.

The trench dug for  underground car parking needs to be filled up soon since the project has been cancelled. Already water is stagnating in the trench and the situation will become worse during monsoon, Lakhani added.
