Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) organized a successful job fair at the Skill Development Centre in Akurli, Kandivali (East) on March 24. The announcement was made via X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, the event saw the participation of 1,490 candidates, with 540 eligible candidates receiving offer letters from over 28 companies.

A total of 28 companies took part in the recruitment event, including major organizations such as Team Lease, YoMan, Genieas, Power Point, Axis, Policy Boss, I Career, and Adani. The fair provided a significant opportunity for local job seekers to connect with top employers and secure employment offers.

In an X post Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) INFORMED that "Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) hosted a Job Fair for students at the Skill Development Training Center in Akurli, Kandivali (East).

A total of 1,490 candidates attended the event, with 540 eligible participants receiving offer letters from the companies involved.

Another user highlighted an important civic issue in the city, mentioning the issue of the hawkers, construction, and unattended civic complaints. The user wrote, "BMC should’ve asked candidates to take photos of illegal hawkers, construction, and unattended civic complaints and select the best. Because once employed, people learn how to avoid such problems and even potentially contribute to their resolution."
