In a sudden disruption to suburban rail services, four air-conditioned (AC) local trains on Mumbai’s Western line will operate as non-AC on Tuesday due to technical issues, railway officials confirmed.
Impacted Services
The impacted services include 94011 Mahalaxmi – Virar, 94024 Virar – Churchgate, 94029 Churchgate – Borivali, and 94040 Borivali – Churchgate. All four trains will function as regular non-AC locals for the day, potentially inconveniencing hundreds of daily AC commuters who rely on these services for a more comfortable journey, especially during peak hours.
While the exact nature of the technical glitch has not been disclosed, railway authorities have stated that maintenance teams are actively working to rectify the issue and restore normal AC services as soon as possible.
“Due to technical issues, these services will run as non-AC on Tuesday. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience,” Western Railways Divisional Railway Manager posted on X
Passengers are advised to refer to the attached schedule for updated train timings and plan their travel accordingly.
