In a twist to the cruise drug bust case, the NCP Chief Spokesman and Minority Affair Minister Nawab Malik on Sunday alleged that NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede’s partner Kashiff Khan had “forced” the Mumbai District Guardian Minister Aslam Shaikh to attend the cruise party.
After Malik mentioned Shaikh’s name in his press conference, the latter declined to comment.
“Had Aslam Shaikh attended that, it would have been ‘Udta Maharashtra’ after ‘Udta Punjab’,” Malik said.
The NCP leader questioned why the owner Kashiff Khan was not arrested?
“A paper roll “Namas’Cray” that was a brand of Fashion TV was seized in the case and it is being said the drug is consumed through that roll. Why was the owner not arrested? The owner of this brand is Kashiff Khan and the partner of Wankhede. Khan was present at the party,” he claimed.
He said that Khan forced Aslam Shaikh to attend the cruise party. “Khan had proposed to invite the children of various ministers of our government to the party,” said Malik, adding that it was a conspiracy hatched to defame the Maharashtra government.
However, BJP leader Mohit Kambhoj claimed that Malik had exposed himself and Shaikh. “How did Kashiff Khan have the number of Shaikh and call him six to seven times and invite for the party? After all, there is some protocol involved with ministers,” he said.
Kamboj questioned how Kashiff Khan has access to the sons and daughters of ministers. “Malik is out hit-wicket,” he said.
Meanwhile, a day after witnessing Vijay Pagare alleged that NCB deliberately framed Aryan Khan, Malik said that Pagare had told him that they had been staying in the Lalit Hotel for the last seven months. Wankhede’s private army members Manish Bhanushali, Vilas Bhanushali, and Sam D’- Souza visited them.
He further said that Pagare also said girls were also known to frequent the place; drugs were consumed, and the money was exchanged there.
