A shocking incident aboard the CSMT-Kalyan fast AC local train on Monday left women commuters in panic after a nude man was spotted in the women’s compartment. A 32-second video of the incident, shared by passenger Lata Argade in a commuter group, has gone viral on social media, raising serious concerns over passenger safety.

The incident occurred on the 4:11 pm  CSMT - Kalyan AC local train. The man was seen standing near the door of the women’s coach as the train reached Ghatkopar station. Women commuters were visibly distressed, but their cries for help were addressed by a ticket checker (TC) who was in the adjoining coach. Acting swiftly, the TC entered the women’s compartment and deboarded the man at the next station.

Speaking about the incident, a source said, "The presence of the ticket checker was fortunate as he ensured the man was removed from the compartment before further distress was caused."

The incident has led to an outcry from women commuters who are now demanding enhanced security measures. Many have urged the deployment of Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at platforms and inside women’s coaches, especially during non-peak hours.

“This is not the first time we are feeling unsafe while traveling. Deploying RPF constables in women’s coaches is the need of the hour,” said a daily commuter.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) , Kurla has registered a case against the unknown person under section 296 of BNS and under section 162 of Railway Act. Further investigation is on . Apart from that a joint team of RPF and GRP has been also formed to scrutinize CCTV footage from other stations to expedite the search for the person involved in the case

This incident highlights the urgent need for increased vigilance and better security measures to protect passengers, particularly women, on Mumbai’s lifeline—the local trains.
