Mumbai: MIDC Police Book 28-Year-Old Man For Assaulting Constable On Duty

The accused, Raj Mutthu, 28, was a customer at Tap Resto Bar and was allegedly intoxicated and arguing with the bar manager. When the police asked him to sit in the police vehicle, he started kicking the officers and punched Constable Hanmant Pujari, 45, breaking one of his lower teeth.

Mumbai: The MIDC police have booked a 28-year-old man for physically assaulting a constable and using criminal force to deter a public servant from discharging his duty.

The accused, Raj Mutthu, 28, was a customer at Tap Resto Bar and was allegedly intoxicated and arguing with the bar manager. When the police asked him to sit in the police vehicle, he started kicking the officers and punched Constable Hanmant Pujari, 45, breaking one of his lower teeth. The incident occurred on June 28, and the case was filed the same day.
