Registration of online applications for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) 2021 for admission to professional courses have opened, announced Uday Samant, state higher and technical education minister. Students can register online till July 7, 2021.

Following repeated appeals from students, Samant said, "Registration of online applications for the MHT-CET 2021 for the first-year engineering, technology, pharmacology and agricultural education for the academic year 2021-22 will continue till July 7, 2021.

" Students can visit the link to register their application online. Samant said, "The CET programme for admission to all undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses will be reported separately."

This year, the state CET examinations have been delayed due to the lockdown in Maharashtra on account of the second wave of COVID19. Viraj Desai, a student preparing for the examination, said, "We have been waiting for the last two months, but the entrance examination has been delayed. Finally, at least registrations have opened. We hope the examination will be conducted soon." Damini Shukla, another student said, "I have been preparing for MHT-CET since the last two years. The examination is generally conducted in May. It is already June and still a date has not been fixed. I hope the examination is not pushed any further."
