Avantha case: Court allows Rana Kapoor's lawyer to be present during ED's questioning
A special court here on Tuesday allowed Yes Bank co-founder Rana Kapoor's lawyer to remain present during the recording of Kapoor's statement by the Enforcement Directorate in a case related to the Avantha group.
Kapoor is currently in judicial custody after being arrested in March 2020 in the alleged Yes Bank fraud case.
The ED is probing an alleged transaction between the Avantha Group of Companies' promoter Gautam Thapar and Rana Kapoor and his wife.

BJP claims threat to Rane's life; Sena minister says he needs
There is a threat to Union minister Narayan Rane's life in police custody, a BJP legislator in Maharashtra claimed on Tuesday.
State minister and Shiv Sena leader Gulabrao Patil, meanwhile, said Rane should be given "shock treatment" as he has lost his "balance".
The Union minister was treated roughly by the police, BJP Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Prasad Lad alleged while talking to reporters at Sangameshwar in coastal Ratnagiri district.
