Mumbai: The Kandivali police arrested a 26-year-old man for allegedly threatening to kill two former colleagues and brandishing a weapon at one of them.
According to the FIR filed on February 10, the complainant, Saloni More, 24, resides in Malad East and works at Sumangal Enterprises, a manpower provider company in Kandivali West. The accused, Deepak Arya, was a supervisor at the company. He joined on March 1, 2024, and became friends with Saloni. After resigning on October 18, he moved to his native place in Nainital but continued calling her frequently, leading her to block his number.
On February 10, around 10.50 am, while a maid was cleaning the office, Saloni heard a knock. When she opened the door, she saw Deepak, who entered and stayed after the maid left. He verbally abused her for blocking his number, took out a pistol, placed it in his waistband, and pushed her towards the door.
He then threatened to kill her and her colleague Khushi if she ignored his calls. He left when someone arrived, leaving his bag behind and warning her not to go to the police.
Saloni reported the incident, and police found a pistol and three cartridges in the bag. Deepak was arrested, and a case was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act.
