Mumbai: Sunni scholars met in Mumbai at Islam Gymkhana to discuss the celebrations of the 1500th birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, the founder of Islam, which will be observed on September 5, 2025.
Plans include event, establishment of Islamic colleges for girls from the community who face difficulties in wearing burqas. Muhammad Saeed Noori, the head of the Almi Tahreek Raza Academy, organised the meeting along with scholars from the Jamia Ashrafia Mubarakpur seminary.
Maulana Muhammad Abbas Razvi said that the Raza Academy has formed a 'Milad Council' to celebrate the occasion in a way that it is remembered for generations.
Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Ahmed Misbahi and Mufti Nizamuddin Misbahi, teachers from Jamia Ashrafia Mubarakpur, said that the scholars who had gathered at the meeting should become a part of the 'Prophet's mercy for all' campaign and try to reach every household with the message.
They added Imams of mosques should make this the topic of their Friday sermons so that the common people can understand the importance of this campaign. Noori said that letters will be sent to the heads of Islamic countries to support and be part of the campaign.
Special guests at the meeting included 'Baqiyatus Salaf Khairul Azkia' Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Ahmed Misbahi and 'Siraj ul Fuqaha' Mufti Nizamuddin Misbahi.
