Mumbai: A delegation from Indian cinema recently visited Iran in collaboration with the Department of Mass Media Cooperation of the Culture and Relations Organisation alongside the Iran Culture House in Mumbai, serving as a platform for cultural exchange.

The partnership between the Iran Culture House in Mumbai and Indian film festivals hopes to establish a framework for future collaborations, paving the way for a greater presentation and appreciation of Iranian cinema in India.

The delegation included A V M Shanmugam, general secretary of the Chennai International Film Festival, Mohan Das, chairman and founder of the Lake City Film Festival in Mumbai, Arhaan Jamal, writer and emerging director, and Zakir Hussain Shaikh, a cultural expert on cinema in the Iran Culture House.
