Mumbai: A 10-year-old girl was brutally tortured with a screwdriver inserted into her private parts in Jogeshwari. An FIR has been registered at Meghwadi Police Station.
A horrifying incident has come to light in the Meghwadi area of Jogeshwari East. A 24-year-old man, who is the lover of the victim’s mother, sexually assaulted the minor girl and inserted a sharp screwdriver into her private parts. The incident has shocked Mumbai once again. The Meghwadi police have registered a case under the POCSO Act against the accused and his girlfriend (the victim’s mother) and arrested both.
According to the police, the mother’s boyfriend sexually assaulted the 10-year-old girl. Shockingly, he also inserted a screwdriver into her private parts, causing severe injuries. The Meghwadi police arrested the 24-year-old man and his girlfriend and are been invested in this horrific case.
The victim’s mother works as a supervisor in a catering service firm. Both accused worked under her and lived with her in a chawl. On June 14 and 15, while the mother was at work, the accused raped the girl four times. During the assault, his girlfriend inserted a screwdriver into the girl’s private parts and recorded a video of the act. The police stated that the accused also attacked the victim with a sharp weapon and threatened to leak the video if she reported the crime. However, the girl bravely confided in her mother on Thursday, prompting her to file a police complaint.
The Meghwadi police have registered a case under Sections 64(1), 64(2)(i), 115, 352, and 351(3) of the BNS, along with Sections 4, 6, 8, and 12 of the POCSO Act, and Sections 66E and 67B of the IT Act. Both accused were produced in court and remanded to two days of police custody.
