A level 2 fire broke out on Monday evening at a high-rise next to actor Shah Rukh Khan’s residence ‘Mannat’ in Bandra West, the fire brigade said, adding that no casualties were reported.
The fire was extinguished at 11.38 pm, after almost four hours, the Mumbai Fire Brigade said.
The incident occurred at around 7.46 pm at 212/C, Jivesh Building, Bandstand Road. The fire broke out on the 14th floor of the 21-storeyed building.
At 8.05 pm, the fire department declared it as level 2 and deployed eight engines, besides ambulances and ward staff.
“The blaze is strong and the flames are huge, the fire team is doing its best to douse it. Fortunately, we have not received any information regarding injuries or casualties and the residents are safe,” said the fire control department at 9.40 pm.
