Mumbai Crime: Thief Flees With Gold, Diamond Jewellery & Cash Worth ₹80.7 Lakh From Businessman's Bungalow In Lokhandwala

A thief broke into a businessman’s bungalow in Lokhandwala, Andheri West, on March 5 and fled with gold, diamond jewellery, and cash worth Rs 80.70 lakh. The Oshiwara police registered a case on March 6 and launched an investigation along with the officials of the Crime Branch, said an official.

Mumbai: A thief broke into a businessman’s bungalow in Lokhandwala, Andheri West, on March 5 and fled with gold, diamond jewellery, and cash worth Rs 80.70 lakh. The Oshiwara police registered a case on March 6 and launched an investigation along with the officials of the Crime Branch, said an official.

About The Case

According to the FIR, complainant Akhil Chaturvedi, 59, lives in Bungalow 1, Premier Tower, with his family. The stolen valuables were kept in a cupboard inside his elderly mother’s bedroom bathroom. The theft occurred between 11 pm and 8.30 am while the family was asleep.

In the morning, Chaturvedi’s mother found the bathroom door locked. His wife unlocked it with another key and noticed the bathroom window open. Suspecting a break-in, they checked the cupboard and found out that the valuables missing.

The family immediately informed the police, who rushed to the spot and took over the investigation. An official said that further investigation has been taken.
