Mumbai Crime: Police Arrest 38 Wanted And Absconding Accused In 10-Day Special Operation Across Zone 4

In a significant crackdown on fugitives, Mumbai Police has successfully arrested 38 wanted and absconding accused in a special operation conducted over ten days. According to police officials, the operation was carried out between June 11 and June 20 across police stations under Zone 4.

Mumbai: In a significant crackdown on fugitives, Mumbai Police has successfully arrested 38 wanted and absconding accused in a special operation conducted over ten days. According to police officials, the operation was carried out between June 11 and June 20 across police stations under Zone 4.

To execute the operation effectively, dedicated teams were formed at each police station within the jurisdiction. These teams were briefed about the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and tasked with tracing and apprehending absconders and long-wanted criminals.

The outcome of the operation was the arrest of a total of 34 wanted accused—including 13 involved in bodily offences, 9 in property crimes, and 12 in other offences. Additionally, four absconding accused were arrested—2 related to bodily crimes, 1 to property crime, and 1 to other offences.

Among those arrested are individuals linked to serious offences dating as far back as 1989, 1993, and 2007, highlighting the operation’s success in bringing long-evading criminals to justice.
