Mumbai Crime: Habitual Offender Flaunting MLA Logo Arrested For Extortion & Assault

The Bhandup police have arrested a habitual offender for assaulting an SB Transport company supervisor and demanding Rs 5 lakh in extortion.

Mumbai: The Bhandup police have arrested a habitual offender for assaulting an SB Transport company supervisor and demanding Rs 5 lakh in extortion.

The accused Shahzada Yakub Malik alias Sajju, under alleged political patronage, arrived in an Innova flaunting an MLA logo. He threatened supervisor Sayyad, saying work needs Sajju Bhai’s permission.

Later, he assaulted Sayyad, demanded cash from the owner, Shabbir Sheikh, and threatened Appco Infratech staff. Police registered an FIR and arrested Sajju and his accomplices, Pradip Singh, Pathak, and Rafiq Bangali.
