Mumbai, August 21, 2026: The Crime Branch Unit 11 has arrested two persons for allegedly trafficking and selling heroin in Mumbai and its adjoining areas. Heroin weighing 651 grams, valued at approximately Rs 3.25 crore, was seized from their possession.
According to the press note issued on August 21, the action was taken on the directions of Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti as part of a special drive against drug trafficking and illegal sale of narcotic substances.
Heroin Seized In Kandivali
Acting on information received on August 20, the police team intercepted two suspects near BMC Garden on Yashodariya Road, Kandivali West. During a search, the police recovered 651 grams of heroin worth Rs 3,25,90,000.

The police also seized Rs 2.10 lakh in cash and two mobile phones and other material worth Rs 50,800. The total value of the seized property is estimated at Rs 3,28,50,800.
NDPS Case Registered
A case has been registered at Kandivali Police Station under Sections 8(c), 21(c) and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
The two accused have been arrested, and the police are investigating their alleged involvement in the heroin trafficking network and identifying other persons connected with the racket.
