Mumbai: A minor accident occurred inside the southbound tunnel of the Mumbai Coastal Road today at around 11 AM, leading to temporary traffic congestion. The mishap involved an Indian Navy truck, which sustained damage in the incident.
According to preliminary reports, the accident took place while the Navy vehicle was passing through the southbound lane of the tunnel. No injuries were reported, but the truck was partially damaged.
Due to the accident, traffic movement inside the tunnel was briefly disrupted, causing a minor snarl. Authorities acted swiftly to clear the vehicle and restore normal traffic flow. An inquiry is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
