Mumbai: The construction of the bridge connecting the Worli-Bandra Sea Link, heading north, has been completed. The inauguration of this bridge will be conducted by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday, January 26, 2025.
Along with this, three inter-lanes, which will provide convenience to passengers traveling from Worli, Prabhadevi, Lower Parel, Lotus Junction, and other locations via the Coastal Road Project, will also be inaugurated on this occasion.
Background on the Coastal Road Inauguration on January 25, the Mumbai Police issued a route advisory applicable from January 27. As per the advisory, all lanes of the Mumbai Coastal Road will remain open daily from 7:00 AM to 12:00 midnight.
Northbound Traffic
1. Traffic towards Bandra Toll Plaza via the Coastal Road will follow this route: Marine Drive (Princess Street Bridge) → Vatsalabai Desai Junction (Haji Ali Junction) → Lala Lajpatrai College → Bindumadhav Thackeray Junction.
2. The north channel, leading to Worli Koliwada and Prabhadevi, will be open for travel from 7:00 AM to midnight (24:00 hrs). It will remain closed for traffic from 12:01 AM to 7:00 AM.
Southbound Traffic
1. Traffic from Bandra Toll Plaza to Marine Drive (Princess Street Bridge) via the Coastal Road Connector Bridge and Vatsalabai Desai Chowk (Haji Ali Junction) will remain open from 7:00 AM to midnight. It will remain closed from 12:01 AM to 7:00 AM.
Additional Restrictions
The north channel from Bindumadhav Thackeray Junction to Bandra Toll Plaza, via the C Link Gate, will remain closed for traffic between 7:00 AM and midnight.
Implementation Period
The revised traffic regulations will be effective from January 27, 2025, at 7:00 AM and will remain in force until further notice. Four-wheeler vehicles and passenger buses will be allowed to use the specified routes. However, the concerned Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) will have the authority to make temporary adjustments as required.

1) Coastal Road Connector Bridge: 80 kmph
2) Turning Points: 40 kmph
3) Coastal Road Bridge Descent: 30 kmph
