Top brass of the Mumbai Police is fuming at the connivance of Oshiwara Police Station officers with rape accused Bollywood playback singer Rahul Rajendra Jain to escape arrest and get bail despite strong evidence of rape, cheating, forcing a woman to undergo an abortion against her will, and other sections of the IPC.
Additional Police Commissioner (West Region) Vinayak Deshmukh has ordered re-investigation of the rape case filed at Oshiwara Police station last October after the victim complained of cops connivance with singer Rahul Jain along with her lawyer to manipulate the case enabling the culprit to get bail. “Re-investigation of the rape case against singer Rahul Jain and review plea of the bail granted to the rape accused” confirmed a police official involved in the case.
Bollywood lyricist victim had filed FIR against Bollywood singer Rahul Rajendra Jain for rape, forcible abortions, abandonment of child and cheating followed by several more victims complaining of sexual assault against the flamboyant singer. The victims alleged that they were physically and sexually “used and dumped” by Jain in the last 3-4 years. A victim from Indore had alleged Jain promised her marriage and had forcible sex with her few times. He also promised to feature her in his music videos and told her to arrange for a sponsor for Rs 15 lakh. She later on found out that Rahul Jain had similarly promised marriage to at least 3 other women.
Victim lyricist has alleged that her lawyer weakened the rape case by deliberately not including several important evidence conniving with Oshiwara Police officers to enable Rahul Jain to first get anticipatory bail within 20days of the FIR registered in October 2021. “Rahul, his father and mother got prior information before the FIR was registered at the Oshiwara Police station. He was allowed to escape before the police reached to arrest him and filed for anticipatory which was not even opposed by the investigating officer” alleged the victim. She met the additional police commissioner Vinayak Deshmukh to complain about the alleged connivance and laxity of police officer to weaken her case and enable Rahul Jain to evade arrest. “Rahul not only kept calling me after filing FIR but was also posting on social media while the police claimed he was not traceable. No ground investigation was done at the residence and the hotels in Delhi, Alibaug, Kolkata, Kashmir and other places Rahul physically abused. The statement of the doctors Kokilaben Ambani hospital where I was forced to undergo abortion was also not presented in court to oppose Rahul Jain bail,” further alleged the victim.
The victim has complained that Rahul Jain has been defaming and spreading rumors about her character and trying to influence witness and tamper with evidence.
Singer Rahul Jain refused to answer calls or respond to messages on his social media pages to give his version.
