The Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) Undertaking will be introducing a new bus route No A- 114 ( air-conditioned) from 11 July 2022 for the convenience of passengers travelling from CSMT to Metro Cinema/ Bombay hospital and Income-tax House and Churchgate.
"We want to encourage more and more people to take public transport. We are trying to give comfortable and passenger-friendly service to Mumbaikars. Soon we are going to introduce Double-decker AC Electric buses," said Lokesh Chandra General Manager of BEST.
This bus will be operated from CSMT in a ring pattern via Mahapalika Marg, Gymkhana, Metro Cinema, Income-tax House, Churchgate station, Hutatma Chowk and then to CSMT.
"The bus will be operated during morning and evening peak period from 8.30 am to 12.30 noon and 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm respectively," said an official of BEST adding that commuters spend a lot of time and face hassles after getting down at CSMT. BEST officials are hoping that this bus service, will be able to solve the problem.
Apart from that keeps in mind the number of growing passengers on bus route number 115-A, two more services between 6.35 pm to 6.50 pm will be added by BEST from Friday.
In addition to that bus route number Airport service - 2 will be extended to Kharghar from July 11th 2022. Currently, this service is running between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and to Vashi bus depot. Extended service of this route will run via Palm Beach Road, Konkan Bhawan, Jalwayu Vihar up to Kharghar.
