Marking World Environment Day, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has pledged to develop a world-class botanical garden in Navi Mumbai, inspired by the successful model set up in Nashik by MNS chief Raj Thackeray with the support of industrialist Ratan Tata.

The party emphasized that just like clean air, abundant oxygen, and lush greenery are essential needs for citizens, Navi Mumbai too deserves a major green landmark. The botanical garden in Nashik, which was established a few years ago, has since become a source of inspiration for several urban development initiatives across India.

MNS leaders stated that if the people of Navi Mumbai extend their support to the party in the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections, a similar internationally acclaimed botanical garden." The proposed project aims to not only enhance the city’s green cover but also create Navi Mumbai’s first major eco-tourism destination," said a party office bearer.

On this occasion, the party has reiterated their commitment to sustainable urban development.
